Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Finance Assistant in Anheim, CA.

Responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly entry-level accounting tasks, including but not limited to filing, reconciliation, and preparation of cash deposits, journal entries, Department mail/office duties, and assistance with accounts payable.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.

  • Organizes, processes, and distributes mail.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing facsimiles, insurance carriers, and regulatory entities' correspondence and requests.
  • Coordinates incoming mail and deposits with appropriate persons and/or departments to ensure timely distribution and/or notification of correspondence.
  • Scans, indexes, organize, and retrieves documents/data from electronic document management portal/system/software.
  • Prepare remote deposits for checks received.
  • Reconcile deposits in collaboration with other departments.
  • Assists with data and document collection for internal and external audits.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information.
  • Completes work within the authorized time to ensure compliance with departmental standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Perform receptionist duties (greeting and checking in visitors, coordinating meetings, sorting mail and etc.) and clerical duties for the Finance department.
  • Sense of Urgency: Priorities well, reacts to opportunities, instills urgency in others, and meets deadlines.
  • Understand priorities; operate with a sense of urgency and meets deadlines.
  • Work independently, and adhere to productivity standards and timely tasks.

Minimum Education:

  • Successful completion of High School or Commercial coursework, including math, bookkeeping, and business. 

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Office assistant/duties experience (1 year +) preferred.
  • Preferred to type 40 wpm (minimum). 

Agency Standard Requirements:

  • Strong commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service is required.
  • Must thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Must demonstrate high level computer skills including; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Electronic medical records experience may also be required
