Econolite Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable processes.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with third-party service providers to ensure accurate sales tax return filings and Annual Report submissions.
- Reconcile accrued sales tax general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Report daily bank activities and update cash flow files on a weekly basis.
- Assist with month-end journal entries and cash management.
- Set up wire and ACH payments in our banking system and release AP ACH disbursements and Positive Pay in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Process business license applications and renewals in various states, counties, or cities.
- Maintain all aspects of fixed asset activities, including processing fixed asset requisitions, tracking capital expenditures, acquiring and recording fixed assets, and reconciling fixed asset rollforward schedules.
- Maintain vehicle lease and registration schedules, approve and code vehicle lease AP invoices.
- Cross-train Accounting Staff I on daily tasks and serve as a backup during absences or as needed.
- Learn daily tasks of Accounts Receivable Specialist and act as a backup as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc duties, including preparing annual audit request schedules and other various tasks.
- Prior experience with sales tax.
- Ability to process a large volume of transactions while ensuring high quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sharp attention to detail and quality with the highest standard of integrity.
- Team player able to work effectively across other finance and operational teams.
- Strong Excel skills.
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Accounting certifications or continuing education, specifically in accounts receivable.
- Knowledge of lien requirements and related processes.
- Demonstrate flexibility with changing business processes and varying work demands.
