Job Description:
The Talent Acquisition team within the Office of Human Resource Management is responsible for facilitating the sourcing, screening, and hiring of top talent for Louisiana State University. We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This is a professional hourly position at $26.45/hour, M-F 8:00 am-4:30 pm. This position physically reports to campus as it is not eligible for remote work. This position is responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:

30%- Strategic Recruiting: Monitor and review recruiting efforts, requisitions, and the hiring of faculty and staff in assigned units. Ensure recruitment transactions in Workday are processed timely and accurately for assigned area(s). Responsible for facilitating or overseeing proper pre-screening of applicants. Participate in executive searches by assisting candidates around campus during their on-campus interviews.

25%- Consulting: Advise colleges and departments on best hiring practices. Meet routinely with hiring managers to provide guidance and feedback. Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs.

20%- Compliance and Data Integrity: Apply applicable university, HRM, Louisiana State Civil Service policies and procedures, as well as federal and state statutes. Provide support to departments in effort to maintain compliance with applicable laws, university policy, and procedures. Responsible for data quality and integrity. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring effective business procedures within the HCM (Workday).

20%- Collaboration and Projects: Collaborate within HRM to develop recruiting trainings and tools for hiring managers. Collaborate with HRM Compensation to establish college/departmental partnerships and strengthen hiring plan strategy and execution.

5%- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1 year combination of experience and/or education in HR. A valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree related to Human Resource Management with 3 years of experience with Higher education experience; Workday experience; knowledge of LSU Policies and Procedures, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certified.

Special or Physical Qualifications:

This position does require driving a personal vehicle for work purposes. Due to the nature of this position and/or responsibilities, this position shall be subject to a motor vehicle record check and drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67.
