Job Overview
The HR Operations Specialist will oversee the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This position plays a crucial role in supporting HR initiatives and policies, including talent acquisition, employee retention, and organizational change management.
Responsibilities include managing core HR processes such as compliance reporting, compensation survey data collection, and talent management systems. This involves setting up and launching evaluation processes and creating compensation communication materials in collaboration with the HR Director.
The specialist will gather and analyze data from various sources to prepare insightful reports.Key Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise to assess current HR practices and recommend enhancements across all HR functions.
- Address and resolve employee inquiries and concerns on a daily basis.
- Work closely with the HR team to develop, refine, and communicate HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Administer Halogen Set-Up and Compensation Communication.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage benefits administration, including Leave of Absence (LOA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, and 401(k) management.
- Assist in Talent Acquisition efforts, including campus recruitment and summer internship programs.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with the HR team.
- Support the HR Director in DiSC and Impact Coach Training initiatives.
- Act as a primary contact for employees and management.
- Draft performance improvement plans and employee counseling documentation for the HR Director.
- Mentor the HR Coordinator informally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, listening, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI-PHR certification.
