Role Responsibilities

The Account Manager will have responsibility for sales and revenue objectives, business development, strategic account planning, client relationship management and customer support with LSEG's most regionally strategic customers. A successful Account Manager demonstrates accountability for the retention and growth of a multi-million-dollar book of business

The Account Manager:

Coordinates all commercial activities within mature client accounts, being responsible for the end-to-end customer relationship

Demonstrates deep understanding of key customer decision maker strategies, priorities and needs

Initiates upsell and cross-sell client conversations to raise interest in a wider adoption of LSEG's propositions

Introduces larger solution opportunities in conjunction with Product Sales teams

Builds and embeds a long-term trusted advisor relationship within assigned accounts

Drives growth by expanding LSEG's footprint and solution adoption

Retains revenue by focusing on maintaining overall customer engagement and interest

Collaborates with internal and external partners.

Maintains client networks to negotiate and close deals

Exhibits a strong sense of initiative and enthusiasm for the role

Qualifications and Experience

  • Financial Services experience within the customer segment. In-depth understanding of LSEG's customers, their business models and workflows
  • Relationship building expertise
  • Confirmed ability to identify and monetize opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Strong ability to persuade and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex propositions
  • Ability to use a variety of technologies with a high level of proficiency
  • Problem solving - ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
  • Presentation and interpersonal skills - ability to deliver presentations to executives and communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with account team members globally
  • University/college degree may be required; equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department
  • Significant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow required
  • Shown account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required
  • Prefer 3 - demonstrated ability covering strategic accounts
