Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in the apparel industry, particularly in women's dresswear. The ideal candidate should have established relationships with key department stores, especially Kohl's, Costco, BJ's, and Target. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring successful partnerships with our retail partners. 
Key Responsibilities: 
1. Account Management: Manage existing accounts and ensure that the company's products are prominently featured. 
2. Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, with a particular emphasis on expanding our presence in department stores. 
3. Relationship Building: Foster and cultivate strong relationships with buyers, merchandisers, and other key stakeholders in the department store sector. 
4. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. 
5. Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and threats. 
6. Product Presentation: Present the company's collections in line showings, individual buyer meetings, and ensuring our products are positioned advantageously. 
7. Feedback Loop: Liaise with the design and production teams to provide feedback from the market regarding product preferences, trends, and potential areas of improvement. 
8. Reporting: Regularly report sales performance metrics, account growth, and market insights to senior management. 
Qualifications: 
1. Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the apparel industry, with a focus on women's dresswear/sportwear. 
2. Established relationships with major department stores, especially Kohl's, Costco, BJ's, and Target. 
3. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
4. Strong negotiation skills with a solution-oriented mindset. 
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
6. Willingness to travel as required. 
7. Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented and outgoing ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
8. Highly detail oriented and meticulous.
