The individual is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver proactive, value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The candidate maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position and its culture. This position reports to and works closely with the Director, HR Business Partner, and the rest of the HR team to support the team's success. The individual may also run projects outside the scope of HR, as requested.*This position is an in-office position, with an immediate start date.Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of company policies and procedures. Ability to answer questions and advise employees. This includes coaching managers and other people leaders on how to respond to certain employee situations and requests.
  • Works closely with leaders and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Help drive performance management efforts through the performance review process, work with departments to update job descriptions, and track employee performance improvement plans. This also includes staying up to date on HR best practices.
  • Offboarding: Assist with exit interviews, including capturing insights and themes and reporting back to leadership with recommendations for improvement and retention.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations and performance issues, escalating when necessary. Work with leaders to help develop and deliver feedback and proactively consult with leaders to address performance issues.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, initiatives, and policies.
  • Manages rewards and recognition programs including budgets and tracking, sending the rewards, working with employees on questions or issues, and acting as a point of contact for anything pertaining to the systems.
  • Support and lead HR projects related to enhancing the employee experience, especially through engagement. This includes proactively identifying ways to improve the employee experience.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims.
  • Assist with the execution of DE&I initiatives, including employee education, and awareness.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree required, focus in Human Resources preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state-respective employment laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, including Executives and external candidates.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and process-oriented.
  • High level of accuracy and mature judgment.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities with people on varying levels, facilitation skills, and ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Knowledge of HR systems, including HRIS, Rewards and Recognition, Teams, and performance management.
