Responsibilities:

  • The Rent Administrator will be responsible for managing and processing rent payments and tracking outstanding Account Receivables for 20+ affordable housing multi-family communities. 
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial packages for lenders and 3rd-party investors.
  • Accurately update the general ledger.
  • Organizing and maintaining up-to-date financial records.
  • Preparing checks for invoices.
  • Reconcile tenant accounts.
  • Assist with rent payments, inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
  • Provide oversight and administrative support for accounting department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Preferred)
  • 2+ years of real estate multi-family Account Receivables experience.
  • Strong understanding of Section 8, HUD, and Voucher Programs.
  • Must be proficient in accounts receivables and general bookkeeping procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate tax is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MRI, Yardi, or other related real estate accounting software is a plus.
