We are a small Family run real estate company located in Winter Park, FL.  Our office is seeking an organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our accounting and administrative team. The Bookkeeper position will work closely with the CEO and CFO while interacting with team members at all levels. The Bookkeeper position will play a critical role in managing and supporting the day-to-day financial tasks of the office, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintenance of chart of accounts. This position is in-office based.
 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in bookkeeping software: Quickbooks and Rent Manager Preferred
  • Willingness to learn software applications as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Payroll tax and compliance experience a plus, not required
     

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurately record financial transactions in accounting software for multiple companies
  • Assist in maintaining chart of accounts and keeping books up to date and secure
  • Assist with monthly analysis, reconciliations, and resolutions for GL accounts such as:
    • Accounts receivable
    • Fixed assets and depreciation
    • Accounts payable
    • Other liabilities (credit cards, loans) and related expenses
    • Inter-company transactions
  • Assist company CEO and CFO with standard and ad hoc reporting requirements (financial and project based)
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Administrative tasks such as:
    • Manage vendor relationships and reconciliations
    • Collaborate with other departments to maintain accurate financial files and records
    • Assist with general property management and office projects as needed
    • Provide support for formal month-end and year-end close processes
    • Maintain general knowledge of accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance and best practices
       

Compensation

This is a full-time position; salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
