A Typical Day in the Role of Sr Associate Scientist Might Look Like:
Learning new methods and/or technologies relevant to various projects Planning, initiating, and completing the following types of biochemical, molecular, and immune-based assays: qPCR, ddPCR, ELISAs in a laboratory setting Accurately documenting findings and lab records in an electronic laboratory notebook Able to perform multiple assays within the same day and works on multiple projects simultaneously Identify and evaluate new technologies for the development of assays using new formats or techniques. Maintain GLP compliance for all laboratory work and documentation related to assay validations in accordance with FDA regulations and company SOPs Routinely present data in formal and informal meetingsTo be considered for this role, the individual must have Bachelors or Masters degree in biology or a related field with 3-6+ years of proven experience. Hands-on knowledge in PCR (quantitative PCR and digital droplet PCR) and a proven understanding of additional methodologies to assess DNA/RNA is needed. Prior experience in gene therapies and/or bioanalytical assay platform development is highly desirable.
