Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist to join our Analytical Chemistry Group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Tarrytown, NY. As a key member of our team, you will lead the development of analytical strategies and methods to support the quality attributes, risk assessment, and control strategies for our therapeutic protein drug candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the characterization of biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, adeno-associated virus, and other biotherapeutic candidates.
  • Develop and implement analytical strategies and methods to elucidate and determine the quality attributes, risk assessment, and control strategies for our therapeutic protein drug candidates.
  • Provide analytical guidance and support for formulation development, upstream and downstream functional groups, and manufacturing to solve real-time development issues in the process development and OOT/OOS investigations.
Requirements
  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 3+ years of proven experience.
  • Strong background in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry with biopharma experience, especially in protein therapeutics or AAV, RNA analytics.
  • Expertise in mass spectrometry principles and applications for protein characterization and process development, with keen analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in LC and MS-related software, such as Xcalibur, MassLynx, MassHunter, Proteome Discoverer, Byonics, Skyline, Empower.
