Position Summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to support our client's Internal Audit team and oversee insurance processes across the US and Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director of Internal Audit, this role involves managing various insurance policies, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely renewals and compliance. The successful candidate will act as the main liaison between internal teams and external brokers, addressing business requests and claims efficiently. Job Title: Insurance Administrator

Team: Internal Audit Team

Worksite Type: Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days WFH

Location: New York, NY 10003

Length of Assignment: Long-term temp (minimum of 6 months)

Pay Rate: Up to $34.33/hour

Ideal Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with summer hours through Labor Day: early start and half-day Fridays)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual renewal process for multiple insurance policies.

  • Analyze policy documents and renewal terms while communicating with brokers and carriers.

  • Maintain detailed records of policies, claims, and renewals.

  • Process monthly casualty insurance payments and allocate premium costs.

  • Oversee workers' compensation and compliance-related activities.

  • Respond to claims or incidents and coordinate resolutions with brokers/carriers.

  • Provide updates to business teams on premium estimates and allocations.

  • Support ad hoc data analyses and compliance audits for the Internal Audit team.

 

Qualifications

Experience/Background:

  • At least 3 years of experience with Commercial Lines Package policies (Property, Casualty, and Cyber coverage).

  • Underwriting or agency experience with working knowledge of rating structures and policy limits.

Education/Certification:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong Excel skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Resiliency and emotional regulation in high-pressure situations.
