The Service Technician acts as the main point of contact for clients, managing both customer-facing and internal support, which includes commissioning, installation, start-up, warranty, and paid service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and solutions for electrical issues encountered before, during, and after manufacturing.
  • Assembling electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering specifications.
  • Installing and maintaining electrical control systems.
  • Modifying electrical prototypes, components, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
  • Configuring and operating test equipment to evaluate developmental parts, assemblies, or systems, documenting results under simulated operating conditions.
  • Performing various highly technical tasks, including commissioning, start-up, and repair/refurbishment of complex electronic and mechanical equipment within client facilities.
  • Training customer personnel in equipment operation.
  • Collaborating with electrical engineers and team members to identify, interpret, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Maintaining accurate troubleshooting records in the service database and producing detailed and timely technical reports.
  • Modifying and maintaining PLC and HMI programs.
  • Conducting remote troubleshooting using diagnostic methods and relevant inquiries.
  • When not traveling, performing machine wiring, panel assembly, programming, and testing duties in the workshop.

Willingness to travel 20-60% as required.

Required skills include:

  • Proficiency in computer and electronics, including processors, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, as well as applications and programming.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machines, tools, their design, usage, repair, and maintenance.
  • Mathematical skills encompassing basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their practical applications.
  • Understanding of production and processing techniques, including raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and methods for optimizing equipment manufacturing.
  • Mastery of the English language's structure, content, spelling, composition rules, and grammar.
  • Proficiency in programming software, particularly Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and Servo programming.
