Position Overview:
The Technical Support Specialist will deliver expert assistance and complex problem-solving for Veolia Environnement SA and its affiliates, focusing on computer systems, communication devices, mobile technology, network infrastructure, and software applications. This role involves supporting clients across North America.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote support for end-users, addressing technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Manage all walk-up support requests and respond to phone inquiries from users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of technical problems, collaborating with third-party vendors as necessary.
- Oversee equipment setup, software installations, and system re-imaging in line with company protocols.
- Implement software and hardware updates while ensuring compliance with corporate IT standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and assist in the development of knowledge resources.
- Monitor and process service requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Engage in research and testing of emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Travel to various regional locations as required for support initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different departments on IT projects.

Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree or technical certification in an IT-related discipline is preferred, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in IT support.
- Proficiency in operating systems and applications, particularly MS Windows 10, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer and communication hardware.
- Familiarity with service desk tools and techniques, including remote assistance and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Google Workspace, Citrix, Cisco VPN, TCP/IP, and Office 365 is advantageous.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. with assistance and 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Capability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and answering calls.
