Key Responsibilities

Act as a representative of the practice and the primary contact for EDI patients.

Facilitate resources to ensure that executive, development, and international patients receive timely, discreet, and seamless services during their time with Mayo Clinic.

Deliver administrative support to physicians, including scheduling physical exams and follow-up visits with EDI specialists.

In addition, the EDI Patient/Physician Coordinator will perform and manage various administrative tasks to guarantee an outstanding patient experience. This includes coordinating special scheduling, providing orientation for new patients to the program and facility, addressing service recovery when necessary, and appropriately escalating patient concerns.

Support EDI physicians with calendar management, schedule upkeep, presentation preparation, travel arrangements, and handling physician correspondence.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in healthcare management, business, communications, or a related field is required.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in secretarial, back office/front office, or customer service roles within a healthcare setting is essential.

Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Spanish or another language commonly used by Mayo patients is advantageous.

Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communication, organization, and customer service are crucial. Strong verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.

Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling systems and a solid understanding of clinical operations workflows are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential. Analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload is important.

Experience with Mayo Clinic is highly preferred.
