Position Overview

The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our medical clinic and procedure suite. Responsibilities include patient check-in, vital sign assessment, assisting patients with preparations for procedures, and coordinating transportation for patient discharge. This position involves interaction with patients, healthcare staff, and other professionals to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure the accuracy of health information. Our goal is to provide outstanding patient care while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including initial consultations and medical reports, is prepared for the physician prior to patient visits.
  • Prepare examination and procedure rooms for incoming patients.
  • Welcome patients and guide them to appropriate areas.
  • Review and update patient histories, recording vital signs accurately.
  • Conduct urine toxicity screenings as required.
  • Retrieve and document laboratory results and patient records.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries to the relevant personnel.
  • Assist in the setup for in-office procedures, including injections.
  • Support the physician during procedures and monitor patients in recovery.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to remind patients of upcoming procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and integrity of information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong customer service abilities.

Education & Experience
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program or certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Preferred experience of 2 years in a pain management setting, either inpatient or outpatient.
