Role Responsibilities

As a Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our medical clinic and procedure suite. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all necessary documentation, including initial consultations, lab slips, and medical reports, are prepared for the physician prior to patient appointments.
  • Setting up the dressing room and procedure area for each patient.
  • Welcoming patients and guiding them to their designated areas.
  • Updating patient histories and taking vital signs, documenting them accurately.
  • Conducting urine toxicity screenings and measuring vital signs.
  • Retrieving lab results and patient files as needed.
  • Managing incoming calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Preparing for in-office procedures, including injections and nerve blocks.
  • Assisting the physician during procedures and monitoring patients in recovery.
  • Ensuring all services are delivered in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Conducting reminder calls for upcoming procedures.
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ordering and managing inventory of medical supplies.
  • Upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Positive demeanor and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Appropriate and professional attire.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with physicians, administrative staff, and healthcare personnel.

Education & Experience

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program or certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pain management setting, either inpatient or outpatient, is preferred.
