Position Overview
As the Vice President of Operations and Sales at Woodlake Trails, you will play a pivotal role in steering the operational framework and ensuring the sustained profitability of multiple manufactured home communities. Your leadership will be crucial in managing a diverse range of responsibilities, from budgeting and capital enhancements to human resource management and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and approve staffing requirements for each community.
- Facilitate training and development programs for team members to enhance their skills.
- Design and execute marketing initiatives and advertising strategies to meet targeted outcomes.
- Oversee the procurement of new and pre-owned home inventory; develop a comprehensive brokerage plan for pre-owned homes.
- Implement effective retailer relations programs to foster strong partnerships.
- Conduct regular on-site evaluations to ensure each community meets our high standards of curb appeal.
- Guarantee that residents receive exemplary service aligned with our customer service ethos.
- Address and resolve resident concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage the execution of the annual capital improvement plan.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the annual operating and sales budgets for each community.
- Prepare monthly financial variance reports and corrective action plans as necessary.
- Set annual goals for occupancy, lease-up, and sales; implement strategies to achieve these objectives.
- Ensure compliance with internal control practices.
- Maintain open communication with residents and homeowner associations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding fair housing and employment.
- Strong organizational skills with a working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Yardi is preferred.
- Flexibility to address community needs outside of standard business hours.
