Position Overview:

The Senior Manager of AI Innovations will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the modernization of their operations via cloud integration, adherence to data standards, and the creation of findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) data frameworks. This position involves leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, and shared analytics services to enhance healthcare and life sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships while spearheading initiatives related to AI-ready data, AI-enabled data pipelines, and Responsible AI.
  • Design and implement both on-premises and cloud-based AI solutions to expedite research in life sciences and safeguard public health.
  • Process extensive datasets using AI or machine learning (ML) technologies, applying advanced theoretical frameworks and contributing to innovative principles.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to drive business growth and maintain robust client relationships.
  • Mentor and develop a diverse team of data scientists, ML engineers, and domain specialists, focusing on attracting and retaining top-tier AI talent.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in architecting and developing cloud solutions that empower data scientists to deploy AI models at scale.
  • Expertise in designing and supporting high-performance computing environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong background in AI applications, including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
  • Experience in creating architectures that align with FAIR data principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams.
  • Experience in consulting within the health and life sciences sectors, particularly with U.S. Government entities.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading projects focused on the ingestion, processing, and analysis of healthcare data, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models and their applications.
  • Experience in staff development and building internal capacities for delivering innovative analytics services.
  • Proficiency in project and vendor management, along with client relationship building.
  • Certification as a Solutions Architect from a recognized Cloud Service Provider (CSP).

Work Environment:

This role may involve a combination of remote and onsite work, depending on project requirements.
