Position Overview:

The Senior AI Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the modernization of their systems via cloud integration, the establishment of data standards, and the creation of data architectures that are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR). This position involves leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, and shared analytics services to enhance operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships and spearhead initiatives related to AI-ready data, AI-enabled data pipelines, and AI operations.
  • Contribute to the development of both on-premises and cloud-based AI solutions aimed at accelerating research in life sciences and improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Utilize AI and machine learning (ML) technologies to process vast amounts of data, applying advanced theories and principles to solve complex challenges.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to drive business growth and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and develop a diverse team of data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts, ensuring a commitment to attracting and retaining top AI talent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in architecting and developing cloud solutions that facilitate the deployment of AI models at scale.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and supporting high-performance computing environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Solid background in AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
  • Experience in designing architectures that adhere to FAIR data principles.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Experience in consulting within the health and life sciences sectors, particularly in support of government initiatives.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience leading projects focused on the ingestion, processing, and analysis of healthcare data, including electronic health records and genomics, while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models and their applications.
  • Experience in developing and mentoring staff across various levels to enhance internal analytics capabilities.
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills.
  • Certification as a Solutions Architect from a recognized Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
