Position Overview
As a Senior Appian Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in crafting innovative technical solutions within a structured timeline. Your focus will be on development, collaboration with business stakeholders, and system architecture, while also overseeing outsourced development efforts. This is a full-time, in-office position.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the authority on architecting and deploying Appian and other IT solutions.
- Lead initiatives to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for all developed solutions.
- Collect and analyze user requirements to translate them into actionable IT solutions.
- Document and prioritize requirements in Jira, ensuring they are well-architected for effective development.
- Design and implement data models.
- Integrate with various third-party platforms to create cohesive IT solutions.
- Develop robust Appian applications.
- Facilitate data accessibility for company users to enhance business process efficiency.
- Oversee the output of outsourced development teams.
- Create and manage project rollout schedules, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Research and implement new tools to streamline application development processes.
- Ensure thorough testing of all deployments prior to launch.
- Address and resolve bugs reported by end users in real-time.
- Manage system capacity to optimize investment in Appian and related platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, training materials, and tools for global accessibility.
- Manage the relationship with Appian, including contract discussions, with support from senior management.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A well-rounded technology professional with extensive experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in Appian development (Appian Lead Developer certification preferred).
- More than 5 years of SQL experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Python.
- Minimum of 3 years working in an agile development environment.
- Experience with identity management implementation (single sign-on).
- Proven ability to guide a team of developers towards efficient development paths.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for innovative solutions.
- Preferred: Over 5 years of Java development experience, particularly with Appian plugins.
- Preferred: Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster or PMP.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Appian Portals.
