Job Overview:


As a key contributor to our organization, the Financial Operations Manager will supervise both daily and strategic fiscal activities, reinforcing our dedication to outstanding service and value-oriented excellence.

This position entails direct collaboration with the executive team to influence the financial trajectory of the organization, overseeing all monetary responsibilities while ensuring adherence to regulations.

The Financial Operations Manager will also handle accounting functions, formulate corporate budgets, enhance cash flow management, liaise with auditors, and sustain vital external partnerships.

Furthermore, the role encompasses evaluating financial performance, predicting project results, and executing policy modifications to improve operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and tax obligations.
  • Lead and develop the corporate budgeting process.
  • Assess borrowing terms and manage cash, credit lines, and working capital accounts to optimize liquidity.
  • Collaborate with independent auditors to finalize the annual review/audit of financial statements.
  • Work with insurance brokers to secure coverage for liability, workers' compensation, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Engage in the formulation of company business strategies, including both short-term and long-term financial goals.
  • Create break-even analyses and financial forecasts to support strategic planning by estimating company performance under various scenarios.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to benefits and 401(k) management.
  • Identify lenders, maintain loan documentation, and manage banking and external partner relationships.
  • Continuously analyze the financial performance of ongoing projects and report findings.
  • Review weekly project performance with project managers.
  • Forecast individual project outcomes on an ongoing basis.
  • Direct and coordinate financial or budgetary activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or enhance efficiency.
  • Evaluate operations to assess performance in achieving objectives or identify areas for potential cost savings, program enhancements, or policy revisions.
  • Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities to ensure ongoing operations and maximize investment returns.
  • Coordinate the establishment or implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, or other administrative control processes.

Qualifications:
Experience in the construction sector

5+ years in accounting/finance within a construction context

Expertise in Percentage Completion

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software
