About the Role

Maynard Steel Casting Company, a family-owned, non-union foundry, is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our management team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other leaders to gain a deep understanding of our business and contribute to our financial and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the accounting team and manage accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, and payroll.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and practices related to the management of all accounting-based functions.
  • Prepare financial reports to summarize and forecast business activity and financial position, past, present, and expected.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, educate and collaborate with managers.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Advise management and maintain vendor relationships for corporate health.
  • Execute and partner on HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and 401K.
  • Collaborate in planning efforts for long-term business goals and strategy.
  • Contribute to improving efficiency and performance, as well as producing high-quality financial information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proper application to the business.
  • Experience with ERP and payroll systems is a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. We do not sponsor employment visas.
