Job Overview

Vault Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Shop Floor Gauges

Ensure that all shop floor gauges are properly cleaned, adjusted, and maintained to ensure accurate measurements.

Assist with Sorting Activities

Support the sorting process by containing customer and supplier materials as needed.

Handle Material Certifications

Verify, record, and file material certifications from suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Ensure Proper Tagging and Labeling

Ensure that all goods and products are properly tagged and labeled to prevent errors and misidentification.

Perform Quality Inspections

Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and final products using various equipment, including CMM, Hydraulic Cleanliness Tester, Air Leak/Air Flow Testers, Scanners, Calipers, Height Gages, Micrometers, and Gage Blocks.

Track Quality Tasks

Monitor and track quality tasks in Global Shop to ensure timely completion and compliance with quality standards.

Conduct Dock Audits

Perform regular dock audits to ensure that all materials and products meet quality standards.

Complete Layouts

Design and complete layouts for production and prototypes to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

Communicate Effectively

Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and timely completion of tasks.

Apply Critical Thinking

Apply critical thinking to evaluate dimensional reports and make informed decisions.

Maintain a Clean Work Area

Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Follow Safety and Environmental Standards

Adhere to safety and environmental standards to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment.

Perform Special Tasks

Perform special tasks as assigned by management to support the team and achieve business objectives.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 Year of Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance is required.

High School Diploma or GED

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Proficient in Blueprint Reading and SPC

Proficiency in blueprint reading and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is required.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Quality Assurance Techniques

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance techniques is required.

Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Experience with Measurement Equipment

Experience with measurement equipment, such as Faro Arm, Romer, and Calipers, is required.

Ability to Learn Customer-Specific Quality Certification Programs

Ability to learn customer-specific quality certification programs, such as ISO 9000, Q-1, and IATF-16949, is required.

Strong Verbal, Written Communication, and Interpersonal Skills
