Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves contributing to the formulation of testing protocols, aiding in the configuration of testing apparatus and tools, and conducting evaluations of brake control hardware and software products in simulated settings while assisting in the analysis of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior test engineers to create and execute effective testing methodologies to confirm software (SW) and hardware (HW) specifications.
  • Assist in the automation of testing processes aimed at validating software modules.
  • Implement software validation strategies, which may encompass integration assessments, Functional Safety evaluations, and production release testing.
  • Conduct software validation and verification activities in partnership with both internal and external development and design teams.
  • Perform validation of developmental or production software utilizing Hardware in the Loop (HIL), Software in the Loop (SIL), and vehicle environments.
  • Gather, organize, and review test outcomes with the software design team.
  • Support the hardware and software design teams in troubleshooting issues.
  • Carry out testing in accordance with established testing protocols.
  • Bench Testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive product engineering focusing on software testing or product development, particularly with brake control components such as Electrical Parking Brake, Motor on Caliper, and Electronic Stability Control.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing or a related role utilizing simulation tools.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with automotive networks such as CAN and FlexRay.
  • Proficiency with testing tools like Vector CANoe (CAPL), CANape, and CANalyzer.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C programming languages.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, capacity to manage multiple tasks, and ability to work effectively under pressure while demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills for technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory Role:

No supervisory responsibilities.
