Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for Automotive Infotainment Systems, your responsibilities will include managing software release timelines, developing automated testing protocols, executing functional validations, troubleshooting data communication challenges, and assessing software performance. Your tasks will involve:
  • Software Release Evaluation: Conduct both internal and external testing to ensure software quality.
  • Timeline Oversight: Manage schedules for unit, integration, and system evaluations.
  • Issue Tracking: Create, monitor, and resolve tickets for the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Automation Development: Design and implement automated testing frameworks and plans for validation projects.
  • Functional Testing: Perform functional assessments in both laboratory and field settings for automated software.
  • Documentation: Prepare necessary documentation, materials, and reports for engineering discussions.
  • Software Enhancement: Review and suggest improvements based on performance and usage testing, identifying areas for ongoing enhancement to present to the development team.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain an active issue list for client meetings and support project-related discussions.
  • System Evaluation: Conduct system tests in accordance with the validation strategy and propose enhancement opportunities to the development team.
  • Requirements Analysis: Understand client specifications and support the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Procedure Updates: Test and revise testing procedures as new requirements emerge.
  • Patch Assessment: Evaluate new software patches and analyze their impact on the system.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve claims and issues throughout product development and production.
  • Documentation: Compile documentation, materials, and reports for engineering discussions.
  • Open Issue Management: Maintain an active issue list for client engineering meetings.
  • Automation Maintenance: Update and refine automated testing procedures in line with new functional requirements.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with basic scripting languages.
  • Quick adaptability to new technologies and skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to perform comprehensive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to write clear, well-structured, and efficient test cases.
  • Experience in testing complex embedded systems and products.
  • Background in automated software testing.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.) is preferred.
