SALARY: Up to $110K annually
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive sector.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in quality assurance.
- Direct interaction with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) clients.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Gd&T).
- Familiarity with gauges, inspection tools, and strong metrology capabilities.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), control plans, process flow diagrams, and work instruction documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with 8-D corrective action processes.
- Preference for background in a machining environment.
- Excellent documentation and computer proficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the introduction of new products, ensuring comprehensive preparation and submission of APQP documentation to client portals.
- Foster relationships with OEM clients through site visits and effective communication.
- Assist in the development of processes and procedures to comply with TS-16949 and customer requirements.
- Support cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, process enhancement, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Create process flow diagrams, control plans, work instructions, inspection check sheets, and PPAP documentation.
- Manage special projects as directed by clients.
- Administer customer portals, monitor customer scorecards, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Engage in lean daily management, tier 2 meetings, performance tracking, data collection, and statistical report generation.
- Utilize Minitab for generating and interpreting statistical reports.
