Your Role:
Administrative Coordinator / Billing Specialist


The Administrative Coordinator / Billing Specialist serves as the liaison for the practice, facilitating all interactions between patients, physicians, therapy, and nursing staff, ensuring optimal use of time and addressing patient needs effectively.

This role also involves the precise entry of patient data, financial details, codes, and charges for services rendered on a daily basis.

Additionally, the Administrative Coordinator / Billing Specialist manages specialized billing tasks not handled by the Centralized Billing Office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Promptly and courteously answer telephone calls, adhering to established protocols.
- Identify yourself and the practice clearly.
- Take thorough and accurate messages.
- Appropriately triage calls according to policy.
- If necessary, transfer calls in a professional manner.
- Deliver messages promptly.
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Manage patient check-in processes.
- Confirm, update, or modify patient insurance and personal information in the system to ensure accurate billing.
- Obtain necessary patient signatures on required documents, such as Consent for Treatment.
- Inform clinical staff of patient arrivals for appointments.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Two years of experience in a medical office or equivalent, with knowledge of medical terminology, coding, charge entry, and payment collection.
