Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Front Office Associate to join our team at Stride Healthcare Management LLC. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Welcoming Patients: Greet and welcome patients with a positive and friendly attitude, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Chart Preparation and Registration: Conduct chart preparations, register new patients, update existing patient records, and verify insurance authorization to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of appointment slots and minimizing wait times.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries, directing calls to the appropriate staff and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, or outstanding balances from patients, prepare payment plans as needed, and reconcile payments at the end of the day.
  • Front Desk Maintenance: Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring a clean and professional environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including generating reports for marketing or patient communication.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Cross-Training and Development: Actively engage in cross-training initiatives to acquire proficiency in various clinic functions and demonstrate adaptability and teamwork.
  • Clinic Support: Provide coverage for other clinics as needed, collaborating with team members across clinics to maintain a cohesive and supportive work environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities for continuous learning and skill development to enhance overall clinic efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Cleanliness and Protocols: Maintain cleanliness and adherence to protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiently use Athena EHR or a similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Customer Service Experience: Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Front Office Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a front office associate/receptionist in a physician's office or hospital.
  • Medical Terminology and Insurance: Working knowledge of medical terminology and health care insurance.
  • MS Office: Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting, Standing, and Walking: Involves sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Full Range of Motion: Full range of body motion, including reaching, bending, and stretching.
  • Lifting and Carrying: The ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items, such as boxes of documents or supplies.
  • Manual and Finger Dexterity: Good manual and finger dexterity.
