About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our Underwriting Solutions team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities within an assigned U.S. account territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a structured approach to selling, including strong prospecting skills and the ability to sell based on business value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and articulating the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Qualify deals and manage the sales process, ensuring timely and effective communication with sales peers, sales leadership, and product management.
  • Develop customized solution proposals and contractual agreements, working closely with other Verisk team members as needed.
  • Provide timely feedback to sales peers, sales leadership, product management, and marketing on developing industry trends, new product ideas, and competitive intelligence.
  • Facilitate and develop trusting relationships with customers at all levels, driving sales growth and retention.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding annual new sales and revenue retention goals.
  • Experience in consultative sales, with a strong ability to build long-lasting and trusting relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work in a team selling environment, collaborating with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Business Development Representatives, Executives, and others.
  • Strong prospecting skills, with the ability to sell based on business value.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional travel to our main office located in Jersey City, NJ.
