Position Summary:

We are seeking a Media Strategy Planner to assist in the daily Media Planning and Strategy operations for a prominent entertainment client. This role involves collaborating with a team to develop, implement, and oversee media strategies while reporting directly to the Supervisor/AMD, Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategies within the designated functional area.
  • Develop media strategies and recommendations under the guidance of supervisors.
  • Present media plans and maintain them, including objectives, strategies, and updates.
  • Oversee reports, including competitive analysis using Strategy software to evaluate competitors' media schedules, interpret data, and derive insights.
  • Create flowcharts and budgets for the development and maintenance of media plans.
  • Prepare and distribute buying specifications and guidelines to buyers, including delivery goals and budgets for negotiations.
  • Review and confirm media purchases to ensure accurate execution.
  • Engage with the vendor community to assess the value and relevance of media channels for the client’s media strategy.
Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in media planning or strategy.
  • Experience in an agency setting is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI.
  • Basic understanding of all cross-channel media, with a strong curiosity and passion for the client’s business.
  • Ability to quickly learn new proprietary software and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to clients and maintain internal documentation.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to thrive under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in managing projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants.
  • Act as a resource for others in resolving complex issues.
