We are seeking a Media Strategy Planner to enhance our Media Planning and Strategy operations for a prominent entertainment client. This role involves collaborating with a team to develop, implement, and manage media strategies that align with client objectives, reporting directly to the Supervisor/AMD, Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives within the designated area.
- Develop comprehensive media strategies and recommendations under the guidance of supervisors.
- Present media plans and maintain them, including objectives, strategies, and necessary updates.
- Oversee the stewardship of reports, conducting competitive analyses using strategic software to evaluate competitors' media schedules, interpret data, and derive insights.
- Prepare flowcharts and budgets essential for the development and maintenance of media plans.
- Draft and distribute buying specifications and guidelines to buyers, outlining delivery goals and budget parameters for negotiations.
- Review and validate media purchases to ensure accurate execution.
- Engage with the vendor community to assess the value and relevance of various media channels for the client's media strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in media planning or strategy.
- Prior agency experience is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI.
- Basic understanding of cross-channel media, coupled with a strong curiosity and passion for the client's business.
- Ability to quickly learn new proprietary software and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present to clients and maintain internal documentation.
- Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and able to thrive under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants effectively.
- Act as a resource for others in resolving complex issues.
