Position Overview:

Our esteemed biotechnology client is in search of a seasoned Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. This pivotal role involves direct collaboration with the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as well as the broader executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be tasked with crafting, implementing, and overseeing strategic investor relations initiatives that effectively convey the organization’s value proposition and financial health.

Location: Hybrid work model with a requirement for in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the investor relations strategy by formulating and executing detailed plans and programs.
  • Guide and nurture the investor relations team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the organization of quarterly earnings calls and annual shareholder meetings.
  • Facilitate investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences, ensuring effective communication of the company's investment narrative.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, annual reports, and other essential financial documents in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate investor outreach through various channels including conferences and corporate events.
  • Develop and implement a shareholder targeting strategy, manage investor inquiries, and ensure prompt communication.
  • Support sell-side analysts and devise strategies to enhance equity research coverage.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and external communications to refine corporate messaging.
  • Update corporate presentations and materials for quarterly earnings and Q&A sessions.
  • Administer the investor relations section of the corporate website.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 20 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 15 years in financial sectors such as investment banking, equity research, investor relations, or corporate finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets.
  • Familiarity with SEC regulations and disclosure requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with proficiency in presentation software.
  • A professional demeanor characterized by high energy, strong work ethic, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proven history of building and maintaining relationships with analysts, shareholders, and institutional investors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to a dynamic team within a rapidly growing biotechnology firm.
