Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Vice President of Hospital Revenue Cycle for our Revenue Cycle Management who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Vice President of the Hospital Revenue Cycle, you will:

•Consolidate revenue cycle activities for the hospitals (operations and management) and work collaboratively with all members of the organization and related external vendors

•Create strategic & operational plans to define, monitor, communicate, and optimize the Revenue Cycle departmental performance, productivity, and revenue against established KPIs

•Manage and develop a results-oriented team, including director, manager, and supervisor levels. Continuously assesses and develops an organizational structure that ensures high performance and achievement of goals

•Oversee and administer the financial management operations for the Revenue Cycle departments including but not limited to financial planning, budget development & monitoring, financial forecasting, and benchmarking

•Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve performance and enhance the patient experience

•Articulate and enforce all internal policies that are related to the revenue cycle, and ensure that revenue cycle policies and protocols are compliant with applicable laws and regulations at all times

•Lead the enterprise revenue cycle by chairing and serving on enterprise-wide projects/groups, task forces, councils, and committees both internally and with key external organizations (providers, payers, associations, government, etc.)

•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leading practices, trends, regulatory changes, and payer practices in hospital and ambulatory revenue cycle

•Facilitates the communication, coordination, and implementation of any enterprise business process or information system that has been impacted by regulatory, industry, third-party payers, federal, or state requirements.

Qualifications include:

•Working knowledge of patient registration, billing, health information management, A/R, cash-management requirements, managed care contractual terms and requirements, health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements (compliance and HIPAA), business office operations, A/R and financial reporting technology, wage and hour regulations, basic accounting and industry standard for healthcare revenue resolution management practices.

•Demonstrated experience in diagnosing, evaluating, and developing corrective actions for problems in revenue-cycle operations, customer services, and payment.

•Solid financial management skills including Budgeting, forecasting, trending, benchmarking, and financial analysis of organizational and departmental performance to establish key performance indicators (KPIs)

•Ability to think strategically and drive change within the organization

•Working knowledge of the Maryland reimbursement environment

•Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively with others

•Ability to forge effective working relationships with key executives to support an understanding of the financial implications of their operations.

•Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships throughout all levels of the organization

•Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, projects, and demands with a sense of urgency and positivity

•Strong organizational and communication skills

•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, or equivalent is required

•MBA or other advanced Master's degree in Healthcare or Public Health preferred

•10+ years of management experience required in the healthcare revenue cycle field demonstrating ever-increasing and progressive responsibilities, particularly in a large system CBO environment.

•Experience with the financial environment in Maryland preferred.

•10+ years of management experience
