Position Summary

We are in search of a creative, resourceful, and experienced Vice President of Investor Relations to join our vibrant biotechnology organization, reporting directly to the EVP & Chief Financial Officer. As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will collaborate closely with the executive team to formulate, lead, and implement strategic investor relations initiatives that effectively convey our company's value proposition and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Direct the investor relations function, including the development and execution of comprehensive investor relations strategies and programs.
  2. Mentor and develop the investor relations team to support these strategies.
  3. Organize and manage quarterly earnings and annual shareholder meetings.
  4. Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences, ensuring optimal participation and effective communication of the company's investment value proposition.
  5. Oversee the preparation and dissemination of quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, annual reports, and other financial disclosures in compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Facilitate investor outreach through conferences, company events, and non-deal roadshows.
  7. Establish a shareholder targeting strategy and respond to incoming investor inquiries with timely and effective communication.
  8. Support sell-side analysts and develop strategies to attract new equity research coverage.
  9. Collaborate with executive leadership and external communications on corporate messaging.
  10. Manage updates to corporate presentations, quarterly earnings materials, and Q&As.
  11. Oversee the company’s investor relations website.

Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. 20+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 15+ years in relevant financial roles such as investment banking, equity research, investor relations, consulting, or corporate finance.
  3. Strong understanding of capital markets.
  4. Familiarity with SEC and disclosure requirements.
  5. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation software.
  6. A professional, engaging personality with high energy, a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player and self-starter committed to excellence with meticulous attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
  8. Ability to manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes.
  9. Proven experience in building and maintaining constructive relationships with analysts, shareholders, and institutional investors.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage with cross-functional teams.
  11. A person with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a dynamic team within a successful, rapidly growing biotechnology company.
