About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Safety Manager to join our team at Nelson Miller Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) that align with industry standards and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QMS that align with industry standards (NADCAP, ISO, AS9100) and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Manage corrective actions and preventive measures (CAPA) to address nonconformities and prevent future occurrences.
  • Oversee quality control activities, including inspection, testing, and documentation.
  • Environmental Health & Safety:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and assessments to identify hazards and risks.
  • Experience with Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, and Lock Out Tag Out
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment through training, education, and awareness programs.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, FAA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Manage regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation and records.
  • Multi-Site Support:
  • Provide QA/EHS support to multiple manufacturing sites, including Berlin and Wausau.
  • Travel up to 25% to visit and support remote sites.
  • Coordinate and align QA/EHS activities across all sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Quality Assurance, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in QA/EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQE, CQA) or Environmental Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, CHMM) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NADCAP, ISO, AS9100, and medical device regulations.
  • Experience with AA&D, industrial, and other manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Must be based in Wisconsin.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
