Position Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist with a robust background in commercial construction and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Assist in conducting thorough investigations of accidents and near misses.
  • Perform regular inspections to identify potential safety, health, and environmental hazards.
  • Evaluate administrative controls to enhance employee safety and meet client expectations.
  • Conduct on-site safety inspections and provide coaching to mitigate unsafe practices.
  • Act as a liaison to address employee concerns regarding health and safety policies.
  • Monitor and analyze injury and incident data to identify trends and recommend safety improvements.
  • Oversee driver safety protocols.
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary work permits.
  • Facilitate safety training and orientation for new hires.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in safety management within large commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • CHST certification or the ability to obtain it within one year.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
