Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Summary:

The Quality Technician will split their time equally between the plant floor and a lab setting. Key responsibilities include performing inspections such as Pre-Operative and Food Safety, documenting and communicating results, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting ATP swab tests to ensure food safety and quality
  • Calibrating lab equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Performing organic start-up tests to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Reviewing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) records to identify potential risks
  • Performing quality audits to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Managing laboratory and production supplies to ensure availability and quality
  • Liaising with the USDA to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Reporting food safety and quality concerns to management
  • Performing line coverage checks to ensure quality and safety
  • Distributing weekly code date sheets to ensure compliance with regulations
  • FOLLOWING ALL FOOD SAFETY PPE/GMP REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • GMP certification
  • Quality - food industry experience
  • Biology and chemistry courses
