Position Overview

GFY is on the lookout for a driven and skilled SUE Project Coordinator and Field Operations Leader to become part of our team. This position entails managing the setup of a new office in Orlando and directing field initiatives focused on the accurate identification of various utilities. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence, overseeing project budgets, and ensuring the delivery of superior results.

Responsibilities
  • Field Leadership: Strategically plan, organize, and oversee crew activities to ensure precise utility location.
  • Safety & Quality: Uphold a safe working environment and comply with job-specific quality system requirements.
  • Project Management: Develop and present proposals, manage project budgets, timelines, and profitability. Oversee client relations and handle contract management.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary liaison for clients, participate in meetings, and manage client expectations and communications.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise both office and field personnel, focusing on staff development and workload forecasting.
  • Technical Expertise: Evaluate and interpret reports, maps, blueprints, and other pertinent data. Utilize mathematical and technical concepts in project planning and execution.
  • Administrative Duties: Ensure accurate billing, monitor accounts receivable, and compile field data into detailed project reports.
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in utility-related roles, with a focus on SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering) project management.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; experience with FDOT is preferred.
  • License: A valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Skills: Proficient in interpreting civil engineering and survey plans, making informed field decisions, and applying technical concepts. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds.
