The COMET contract encompasses the comprehensive management and execution of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at a leading space center. These efforts support various space exploration initiatives and programs.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Leading operations in processing facilities, ensuring effective coordination and execution of scheduled tasks.

· Overseeing the integration of verification and validation processes along with flight hardware operations.

· Coordinating operational activities across multiple contractor efforts.

· Providing management support to evaluate and resolve competing priorities across diverse projects.

· Overseeing operational systems and reporting mechanisms, collaborating with various teams to communicate priorities effectively.

· Preparing and reviewing complex technical documentation, including system configurations and reports.

· Primarily a first shift role, with occasional requirements for second and third shift support.

· Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with four years of relevant experience. An associate degree in a related field is preferred.

Essential Skills

· Strong communication, presentation, and client interaction skills are essential.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.

· Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

· Self-motivated with the capability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

· Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency is required upon offer.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to navigate stairs and access equipment for troubleshooting.

· Compliance with safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.

· Position may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

· Physical demands include walking, standing, and climbing.

Work Environment

· Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors across the facility.

· Daily travel to various site locations may be required.

· Walking on uneven surfaces and climbing may be necessary.

· All tasks must adhere to safety standards set by the organization.

Attendance Expectations

· Full-time commitment is required.

· Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary based on project needs.

· Dependability and punctuality are critical.

Additional Responsibilities

· Clear communication of ideas in both written and verbal formats is essential.

· Travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities, including potential airline travel.

· Professional grooming and attire must align with safety standards.

· Compliance with drug-free workplace policies is mandatory.

· Future government security clearance may be necessary.

· Maintaining a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration is essential.
