Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Aviation Project Leader to support our ongoing contracts and national aviation initiatives. This role will oversee our airfield civil operations and is essential for our projects at various airports. The selected candidate will be integrated into the program management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the airfield operations team.

• Develop, manage, and monitor the project budget, ensuring cost control and risk management for successful completion. Prepare detailed project progress reports, including Estimated at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) reports for client management.

• Assess and review design elements concerning civil and airfield specifications.

• Provide insights on project delivery methods and contract structuring.

• Facilitate the resolution of technical challenges.

• Identify processes and resources necessary for effective project execution.

• Offer civil design support as needed by the team.

• Coordinate quality control activities from initial project development through construction and finalization phases with all stakeholders.

• Engage in the design review process.

• Ensure compliance with program and code requirements.

• Review design milestone submissions.

• Maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

• Report project status directly to management.

• Oversee project operations, assisting with estimating, budgeting, planning, scheduling, time management, project reporting, site safety, and workforce management.

• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

• Provide additional technical support as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred certifications: PE, PMP.

• Strong background in civil and airfield projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and principles.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with quality control and health & safety standards.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office, P6, or Microsoft Project, as well as estimating tools and internet applications.
