Job Overview

Sterling Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Audit Support: Provide support and documentation for external and internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports and data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
