Position Overview

  • Prepare and arrange the function room in accordance with event specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all equipment before, during, and after events.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the Captain or Supervisor promptly.
  • Manage inventory of materials and supplies at the start of each shift to ensure readiness.
  • Prepare beverages including coffee and tea as required for service.
  • Ensure all plates are checked for accuracy and presentation prior to serving.
  • Deliver food to guests in alignment with established service standards.
  • Engage with guests to anticipate their needs and ensure a satisfying experience.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption to promote safety and responsible service.
  • Clear tables and dismantle function rooms following the conclusion of service.
  • Complete all assigned end-of-shift responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Core Responsibilities
  • Foster a collaborative team environment at all times.
  • Promptly communicate any significant issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
  • Execute emergency protocols in line with hotel standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Participate in relevant hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of work areas and equipment.
  • Follow hotel policies and procedures diligently.
  • Engage in recycling efforts whenever feasible.
  • Stay informed about hotel updates and changes.
  • Comply with uniform and grooming standards set by the hotel.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role within an upscale hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of quality food service practices.
  • Outstanding guest service abilities.
  • Certification in responsible beverage service (e.g., TIPS) preferred.
  • Capability to lift and carry trays weighing over 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
