Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and present culinary masterpieces for catering events, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and overall culinary satisfaction.
  • Work closely with event planners, supervisors, and clients to understand their vision and requirements for each occasion, providing expert guidance and support as needed.
  • Oversee all food preparation activities and kitchen logistics to ensure seamless event execution, including setting up and dismantling temporary kitchen facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to industry sanitation standards and best practices.
  • Handle client inquiries and deliver outstanding customer service, addressing any questions or special requests with professionalism and promptness.
Additional Duties for Lead Chef:
If serving as a Lead Chef, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of kitchen staff during events to ensure efficient operations and timely dish delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a chef or culinary professional, particularly in the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and creativity, with a dedication to providing remarkable dining experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, prioritizing a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and multitask effectively in fast-paced event settings.
  • Experience in leadership roles with the capability to supervise and mentor kitchen staff.
Compensation: The salary for the Culinary Event Specialist position ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. At Main Event Caterers, we value the unique skills and expertise that each team member brings, offering competitive compensation to reflect this. With increased experience and demonstrated proficiency, opportunities for growth and higher pay may become available.
