JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Endpoint Systems Engineer I is essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This role encompasses the management and upkeep of both hardware and software systems, the implementation of updates and patches, and the resolution of technical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in MCM, JAMF, Intune, and PowerShell to enhance automation and optimize system administration workflows. A proactive individual with strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and oversee hardware and software systems throughout the organization.
  • Administer and supervise MCM, JAMF, and Intune platforms to facilitate software distribution, updates, and patch management.
  • Develop, test, and deploy software packages using MCM, Intune, and JAMF.
  • Manage endpoint imaging and deployment infrastructure through MCM and Intune.
  • Employ PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate routine processes and enhance system administration and software distribution efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related challenges.
  • Proactively upgrade endpoints, software, and procedures to improve functionality and address security concerns.
  • Maintain and generate system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, troubleshooting guides, software distribution, and licensing.
  • Install, repair, and upgrade campus desktop devices, including hardware, printers, and peripherals as necessary.
    Engage in regular operational meetings to review, plan, update, and inform processes, workflows, policies, and projects.
  • Implement and manage hardware inventory and asset tracking using various tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of two years related experience.
  • Proficiency in MCM (Microsoft Configuration Manager), JAMF, and Intune.
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell and/or batch, for automation and task execution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software components, including operating systems, networking, and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical proficiency.
    Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
