About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to join our team at TableOne Hospitality. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing culinary direction and leadership for our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership to create a culture and work environment based upon respect, and oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated responsibilities in food delivery, sales, costs, employee retention, and guest satisfaction.
  • Culinary Innovation: Create dynamic menus for all outlets that evolve and change on a regular basis, and develop recipes and input into the recipe database.
  • Financial Management: Participate in the development of the annual budget, monitor and analyze each kitchen cost center's financial performance, and manage within those approved plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and maintain F&B marketing and other marketing activities, and coordinate operations with other restaurant departments to ensure efficient service.
  • Staff Development: Hire, train, empower, coach, and counsel employees, and continually strive to develop the staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis, and investigate and resolve guests' complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodation.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in the direction and management of employees in a culinary environment.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques, and thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and food hygiene practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Results-driven leader who is fearless about execution, creative, can champion a vision and roadmap, and is not afraid to dig into the details.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and with all levels of leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Good financial acumen and basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and Employment Legislation.
  • Availability: Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business, including some travel as needed.
