Job Title: Executive Chef - Global Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of all food served onboard, ensuring the highest quality and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Quality and Safety: Direct and oversee the activities of all food preparation and service functions onboard, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Menu Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement new menus, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate culinary department guidelines.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate a high-performing team of culinary professionals, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
  • Inventory Management and Cost Control: Oversee the preparation and control of daily supplies, ensuring accurate quantities and minimizing waste, while meeting targets of food costs within given budget.
  • Facilities Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure the proper maintenance and cleaning of all kitchen areas, adhering to company standards and industry regulations.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit reports as required, maintaining open communication with the Food and Beverage Director, Hotel Manager, and other stakeholders.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a corporate brand ambassador, supporting and driving all long-term company goals and brand direction.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years in a 5-star+ hotel, cruise ship, or high-profile restaurant, with at least 7 years in a supervisory position.
  • Certifications: Advanced food safety program certification, with extensive knowledge in VSP preferred.
  • Education: Degree from an accredited culinary college or university.
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, financial responsibility, and ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
