As a Store Operations Supervisor, you will serve as a key resource across various departments, exemplifying outstanding customer service, driving sales, and effectively resolving issues.
In this role, you will collaborate with the management team to oversee daily store operations and specific departmental functions. Your expertise in store and departmental operations will ensure that your area is well-maintained, properly merchandised, and operationally efficient, all while contributing to a workplace that is consistently recognized for its positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management of store operations alongside the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
- Act as the Manager-on-Duty, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all store departments to provide guidance and support to both customers and team members.
- Utilize analytical skills and knowledge of the campus community to effectively manage daily operations and make informed decisions.
- Delegate tasks and provide focused direction to team members to ensure successful project execution and workload management.
- Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to engage with customers, address inquiries, and assist with purchases.
- Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing by organizing, tagging, and maintaining products and spaces.
- Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid payments as necessary.
- Full-time positions require a commitment of at least 30 hours per week, with schedules adaptable to store needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent movement throughout the store to access various departments and products.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a retail environment as a manager or buyer preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Exceptional customer service skills to effectively match products with customer needs.
- Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills are necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
