Position Summary: The Store Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the store operates smoothly, assisting the Store Director in delivering a convenient, friendly, and clean shopping environment. This position involves leading and mentoring Service Specialists while providing necessary training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee management tasks such as interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members.
- Plan, assign, and direct daily operations while appraising performance and addressing any issues.
- Analyze historical data to forecast future sales influenced by promotions and advertisements.
- Manage inventory effectively to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Review financial metrics including profit and loss, sales, shrinkage, and labor data, and communicate findings to upper management.
- Ensure accuracy in inventory checks, product ordering, and related documentation.
- Responsible for opening and closing the store, adhering to established procedures.
- Conduct quality control inspections to meet food safety standards and compliance with labeling regulations.
- Prepare and verify the accuracy of store deposits and change orders, maintaining register till balance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate pricing through effective communication and technology utilization.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following company safety protocols.
- Exhibit a friendly, customer-focused demeanor by engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge of retail grocery operations.
- Familiarity with cash register operations.
- Basic understanding of Workforce Management (WFM) and SAP for reporting.
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and on-site fuel station procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education.
- Certifications in TABC/LACT, Food Safety, AML, and HIPAA are required.
Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, use close and distance vision, and perform tasks that involve lifting objects up to 40 lbs frequently, and up to 65 lbs occasionally.
