Position Overview:
As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading the store to deliver exceptional customer service while achieving operational objectives, sales targets, and financial goals in alignment with company policies and procedures. This position encompasses all responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and involves assisting the Store Manager in daily operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will oversee the activities of all staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upholding outstanding customer service standards and fostering strong relationships with clients to encourage their loyalty.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager to implement strategies aimed at achieving store objectives.
- Supporting the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and motivating team members to exceed customer expectations.
- Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Creating a strong customer service culture to enhance sales performance.
- Acting as a Customer Service Representative and supervising related activities when the Store Manager is unavailable, including transaction processing and cash handling.
- Engaging in community marketing efforts to boost market presence and store revenue.
- Addressing customer complaints to improve satisfaction levels.
- Assisting the Store Manager in managing labor hours, cash flow, store audits, and inventory shrinkage.
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment for both customers and employees.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of management experience in sectors such as hospitality, financial services, retail, or food service.
- Ability and willingness to engage effectively with customers.
- Capability to cultivate positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong motivation to surpass corporate goals and inspire excellence within the team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High-energy, collaborative management style.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Capability to lift 5-10 lbs. with minimal assistance.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while handling frequent interruptions.
- Willingness to drive for company-related tasks as necessary.
